What role can cyber norms play in improving accountability in cyberspace?
Senior Fellow Dennis Broeders will join a panel discussion to discuss the role of global cyber norms, attribution, and the need for an independent body to oversee the level of security in cyberspace.
The panel discussion is part of the stakeholder debate "What role can cyber norms play in improving accountability in cyberspace?", organized by Euractiv and Microsoft in Brussels on Wednesday 20 March 2019. The evening will start with a fireside chat with George Ciamba, Romanian Minister Delegate for European Affairs, and Sorin Ducaru, former Assistant Secretary General for Emerging Security Challenges at NATO. The following panel discussion will also include as panelists: Wiktor Staniecki, Policy Officer, Cyber Security at the European External Action Service, Līga Raita Rozentāle, Director of EU Governmental Affairs for Cybersecurity Policy at Microsoft, and Brian Maguire, Journalist at Euractiv (moderator).
