Fabio Cristiano Speaking at Transatlantic Relations in an Era of Renewed Great Power Competition

Workshop

Postdoctoral researcher Fabio Cristiano will speak at Transatlantic Relations in an Era of Renewed Great Power Competition, an online workshop organized by IRSEM.

Great Power competition is back. This has consequences for several key dimensions of contemporary world politics, including transatlantic relations. In today’s world, it has become impossible to understand the present and future of the ties that bind the US and Europe without analyzing the growing competition between the US and China. This workshop explores this interconnection. It will analyze how key sectors of transatlantic relations are impacted by competition among the Great Powers.

Fabio Cristiano will take part in the second panel, “Critical sectors, Transatlantic relations and great power competition”, which will closely examine economic and trade relations, the defense industry, technology, and intelligence cooperation. Other participants include Samuel B. Faure (Sciences Po St-Germain-En-Laye), Dylan Spence (Queens), discussant Hugo Meijer (Sciences Po CERI), and chair Andrew Novo (CISA/NDU).

More information on the workshop and how to register can be found on IRSEM’s website.
