Oskar Galeev

Oskar Galeev is a Ph.D. Fellow at the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of Johns Hopkins University researching politics of emerging technology in US-China relations. Prior to joining SAIS, Oskar graduated with Honours from Leiden University (B.A.) and was named a Yenching Scholar at Peking University (M.L.) He previously worked in the telecommunications industry at Huawei Technologies, taught political science at Amsterdam University, and received funding for his research on comparative technology policy from Sydney University among others.

Oskar is currently working at the Alperovitch Institute for Cybersecurity Studies in Washington D.C., and his project during the visiting fellowship in The Hague focuses on the politics of geolocation and global navigation satellite system technology in the EU, US, Russia and China.
